Meet the Cast: Caleb Probst

Caleb Probst plays “Brother Schubert” in Synesthesia Theatre’s first serial, Iron Horses Can’t Be Broken. Brother Schubert is a small-town pastor earnestly trying to provide a moral center for a community under a volatile man’s thumb.

Caleb ProbstCaleb Probst voiced numerous roles for Kill Shakespeare and 1001 Chicago Afternoons, audio projects produced by Strawdog Theatre and Access Contemporary Music. Chicago theatre credits include The Madness of George III and Henry V (Chicago Shakespeare Theater), Mrs. Warren’s Profession (Remy Bumppo), Johnny Theatre (Chemically Imbalanced), AjaxAntigone, Voodoo Chalk Circle (The State), How I Became a Pirate, and Peter Pan (Emerald City Theater). Regionally he has worked with Michigan Shakespeare Festival, Syracuse Stage, Lost Nation Theatre, and National Players, performing title roles in Hamlet and Romeo and Juliet, among others. Caleb is also a writer, director, and teacher in Chicago. He is a teaching artist and company member with Barrel of Monkeys, and is the primary educator for the Chicago Alliance Against Sexual Exploitation. He holds a BFA in drama from Syracuse University.
