At 7:45am I heard on the radio that we’d hear about the SCOTUS decision on marriage equality today or Monday. By the time I’d finished my commute the Internet had exploded.
Tears of joy, over here. How long have we worked toward this? And in a happy bit of synchronicity, the repeal of DOMA was exactly two years ago. Maybe SCOTUS did that on purpose…
We have much more work to do, but for today, we celebrate — do we ever:
Thank you, Sirs!
Love won. #MarriageEquality

So far this morning I wrote a song in a cemetery, watched my wife's prenatal exam, and quietly celebrated the SCOTUS decision by retweeting.

The best part is that this is not hard to imagine at all.
This decision recognizes the fundamental truth that our love is all equal. Today is a great day for America. #LoveWins -mo

I'm crying. My best friend is officiating my marriage in September. The injustice for her and her partner has been weighing on my heart.
