Joyce returns in Cold Reboot as Mrs. Karaiti, part of the 500 Block housing project, and de facto kindly grandmother figure to the climate refugee extended community family. She also plays the bartender and the restaurant manager.
Joyce Porter returns to Synesthesia Theatre from her prior turn as “Diane” in Iron Horses Can’t Be Broken. Her previous voice work includes several commercials and industrials, and two audiobooks. Most recently she voiced a computer in a short film. She has acted in over 50 films and 40 plays. Earlier this year she played a psychic in My Haunted House on the Lifetime Movie Channel. She holds an M.A. in theater from Northwestern University and has spent many years as a professor teaching theater, film, humanities and speech.
